Who can be a milk bank donor?

Any mother who is able to pump breastmilk and is in good health.

Donors should be

N.B. Some milk banks only accept donations of at least 3 litres

If the mother is interested please refer her to your nearest milk bank, who will then responsible for taking a Medical history from the mother, arranging her donation and blood testing for :-

The Milk Bank will organize the transfer of the mother’s milk into the Milk Bank.

Mothers who’s babies have not survived

Every year Milk Banks receive large quantities of milk from mothers who’s babies have not survived. This is often an important source of very premature milk. Donating the milk often helps parents grieving process. Milk Banks are experienced in this aspect of their work and link closely with charities that support parents through such a difficult time.
